It is no big surprise that Blues manager Antonio Conte is an admirer of the 23-year-old, but he has gone as far to say that if he could buy any striker right now, it would be Kane.
His comments are rather telling, particularly as the club recently purchased Spanish forward Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
It seems, though, that a move for Kane would be a non-starter as Conte thinks that the Tottenham striker is now in the £100m bracket.
The Italian coach is quoted by Sky Sports as saying:
“If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker. He is strong physically, with the ball, without the ball, he fights and he’s strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left.
“He’s a complete player. He’s one of the top strikers in the world. If you go to buy Kane now it would be at least £100m. At least. For me, if I see this price for a striker I know for sure he’s a big striker.”
Conte’s quotes had quite the build up, with many fans being promised some big news on Wednesday evening, but some supporters feel that the reveal was an anticlimax.
Others think that the manager is showing his hand early ahead of a potential transfer in the future.
