da supremo: According to a report by Fichajes, three La Liga clubs are interested in signing Samu Saiz from Leeds United this summer.
da brdice: Samu Saiz is one of the most naturally gifted attackers at Elland Road, and his loss would be tough for the Yorkshire side to take. However, if a big enough offer is made for the Spaniard, then Marcelo Bielsa may be forced into a sale.
The 27-year-old brings flair and attacking verve to the Whites going forward, as well as posing a goal threat and providing goalscoring opportunities for his teammates.
If Leeds do lose the forward this summer, then they’ll need to act quickly to see him adequately replaced.
Finding a target capable of replicating Saiz’s game, within Leeds’ budget, is tough. However, there are options out there available.
Che Adams, currently plying his trade with Birmingham City, would be a great signing to bring in should Saiz depart during this transfer window.
The Breakdown
Adams, who is valued at £2.25 million by Transfermarkt, wouldn’t come cheap. However, any sale of Saiz would likely raise enough funds to cover the majority of the fee that Birmingham would demand.
Adams enjoyed a decent season in the second tier last time out, finding the net on 5 occasions and laying on 2 assists for the Blues. In the previous campaign he hit even greater heights though, notching 7 Championship strikes and providing a further 6 assists.
With Birmingham a club seemingly going nowhere fast, and struggling to get business done this summer, a move could be what’s needed for Adams to get back to his best.
As part of this Leeds side, the 22-year-old could become the creative, goalscoring influence that the Whites need in order to sustain a genuine promotion push.
