da apostaganha: Reports from Sky Sports claim that Chinese investment firm Lander Holdings believe they are close to securing a deal to purchase a controlling stake of Southampton.
da dobrowin: The deal hit the rocks a couple of months ago when Lander Sports, a subsidiary of the Holdings group, announced that their interest in buying a stake in the club had ended.
However, with the head of Lander Holdings Gao Jisheng now seemingly confident a deal to buy 80% of the south coast club it seems well and truly back on.
The club have been more-or-less open to offers since the death of the club’s saviour, Markus Liebherr, in 2010 after which his daughter Katharina took charge.
The negotiations with Lander add to the list of issues to sort out for the powers that be at St. Mary’s, starting with the managerial position as well as deals for the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Bertrand.
Should the deal go through the Saints would become the second Premier League club under Chinese ownership, alongside West Brom.
