da apostaganha: Morgan Schneiderlin has struggled to impress the Everton faithful this season with his performances in the middle of the park.
da dobrowin: The France international arrived at Goodison Park from Manchester United in January with plenty of promise.
However, the midfielder has been unable to cement himself as a regular having started nine of the Toffees’ 15 Premier League games so far.
The 28-year-old also recently came under fire after Sky Sports reported that both he and teammate Kevin Mirallas were sent away from a training session in November for a lack of effort.
Schneiderlin has since denied these claims and has now spoken about his desire to turn the page in his Everton career.
The midfielder has an opportunity to impress new manager Sam Allardyce, who was appointed last week as Ronald Koeman’s successor on an 18-month deal.
According to Sky Sports, when asked about the alleged incident, Schneiderlin said:
“I read about it in the newspaper and I was surprised as I could be because there was no incident. It was a surprise for me – I made a statement on social media that it was fake news and not true.
“That is the only thing I will say about it because I want to turn the page. It was not nice for me to see that but it is part of football and I have to deal with it.
“I want to prove [myself] in every game. Of course there is a new management team so it is a fresh start for everyone. I haven’t had the chance to play the last two games but it is going to be up to me to show what I can do and that I can make a difference for the team.”
Everton fans have now been giving their reaction to the comments.
