da premier bet: According to the Express, Paris Saint-Germain are set to gazump Tottenham in the race for Wilfried Zaha with a huge £65m offer, after the Ivorian revealed his desire to play in the Champions League.
What’s the word, then?
Well, Crystal Palace’s No.11 revealed that he is desperate to play in Europe’s greatest club competition in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail recently, and given the fact that the Eagles have been battling relegation, it is unlikely that he will get that chance at Selhurst Park.
As a result, the transfer talk surrounding the 26-year-old’s future has gone into overdrive, with many now tipping the Ivory Coast international for the exit door this summer – Palace, however, are hoping to make £80m on their academy graduate.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan the other clubs currently interested in signing Zaha, although PSG may represent the best destination for the player himself and for Palace.
Why would that be the case?
Here in England, the former Manchester United winger has developed a reputation for being a diver, an unfair narrative driven by the media when, in actual fact, he is the second most fouled player in the Premier League behind Eden Hazard, and is certainly not a cheat.
A move away from England would allow the winger to focus on his game away from this distracting chatter, and enable him to have a fresh start away from a media narrative that simply won’t go away.
Additionally, Palace would be best off selling to the Parisians as they are the club most likely to meet the lofty valuation of their talisman, due to the hefty financial muscle of Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Also, by shipping Zaha off to a club outside of England, they won’t have to come face to face with the monster they created twice a season, which is probably best for a fanbase who will undoubtedly struggle to see him don another club’s colours.
With a barrage of clubs interested, Palace have the chance to get the best possible deal for Zaha by opting to negotiate with the Ligue 1 champions.
